Atraumatic Conjunctival Dissection by Dr. Eytan Blumenthal

Dissecting the trabeculectomy bleb pocket using Katena's Blumenthal Conjunctival Dissector (K3-1124). The Blumenthal Conjuctiva Dissector features a very smooth, round biconvex tip which gently slides between Tenon's and the epi-sclera to atraumatically dissect the bleb. The specially designed tip is mounted on a 21mm shaft for dissection distal to the incision and can be used for both fornix and limbal based procedures. Dr. Blumenthal continues to walk through his routine technique in both simple and complex trabeculectomy procedures. Watch as he highlights common issues that need to be avoided during this procedure.
