Job Title [Web Content Specialist ]

Reports to: Web Content Manager

Position Type: Full Time-Exempt


The Web Content Specialist is responsible for providing the hands-on support for the proper execution of product, educational, and promotional content for the ecommerce websites of Katena Products. This position will assist in the development, design, and implementation of all web content. The Web Content Specialist will assist with the content workflow coming from internal teams to ensure that all requested content and functionality is executed on the website as intended. The Web Content Specialist will become an expert in how to translate the needs of the business to the Magento 2 platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain content and page templates for the homepage, landing pages, product pages, forms, banners, and other creative assets for the ecommerce websites of Katena Products.
  • Optimize website content for maximum visibility and ranking on Google and other search engines.
  • Continuously make recommendations on how to increase effectiveness of content management tools, including tagging, SEO links, etc.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop graphic and copy execution that convert website visitors into buyers, enhance customer loyalty, and support the growth of the brand.
  • Organize and create set-up documents to load new products to the site.
  • Provide support for Magento and onsite add-ons to ensure proper functionality; evaluate performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Partner with 3rd party vendor teams to set up new site enhancements.
  • Partner with the Web Content Manager to drive KPI’s.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient understanding of Magento 2.
  • Proficient understanding of web development and web design.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as {Git /GitHub}.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles.
  • Responsive web design.
  • Testing/Debugging.
  • Strong UX and design principles required.
  • Frontend web coder/builder.
  • Ability to code using HTML/ HTML5 and CSS.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and other coding is preferred.
  • Ability to create slices and export images from Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Ability to optimize creative assets and make them web friendly.
  • Work with HTML templates to recreate site assets.
  • Eye for usability and GUI.
  • QA site content across the desktop and mobile sites.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience
