Job Title [Sr. Product Manager – budget reusable and single-use instruments & lenses]

Reports to: VP of Marketing

Position Type: Full Time- Non-exempt


Summary/Objective

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining strategies, tactics, and programs for the Blink Medical, Essentials, and Katena lens ophthalmic brands with resultant increases in market share, revenue, and EBITDA. This position works closely with members of the marketing department, sales, sales support, finance, and operations to ensure continuity in product offering and company goals

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the P&L of the product line through the contribution margin line
  • Own the execution of all marketing responsibilities for the relevant brands, including analytics, marketing plans, business cases, core pre-launch and launch strategies, brand marketing, innovation and other key projects
  • Own complete management of product/business lifecycle, leading short and long-term strategy as well as in-year execution of agreed plans
  • Work regularly with the sales representatives in the field in order to gather directly market information and data as well as assist the sales team in executing and refining marketing plans and programs
  • Work with R&D to develop and new product plan/roadmap which addresses unmet market needs as well as company objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities - technologies and/or companies - for the company to acquire or otherwise partner with to advance the business
  • Conduct and direct market analysis of the overall experience of key customers and provide solutions to motivate customers to start or continue buying our brands   
  • Generate clear product positioning with compelling messaging to highly specialized customers
  • Represent marketing at key customer/sales meetings and corporate presentations
  • Develop and deliver training plan on products to sales forced and customers

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6-10 years of Product Management experience within Medical Devices industry required; experience in surgical instruments and/or ophthalmology preferred
  • Experience in planning effective marketing strategies and P&L for complex businesses
  • Project management, data analytics and budget management
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency
  • Adobe Creative Cloud competency a plus
  • Experience using and working within CRM and ERP systems and information

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel is international
  • This job operates in a professional office environment This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs
